Cleveland stables is a purpose-built boutique equine property based in Ohariu Valley, 20 minutes from Wellington CBD. Owned by Rob and Sue Purdom and managed by Millie Purdom.
Our primary focus at Cleveland Stables is show jumping and show jumping riders, however we welcome riders from all disciplines. Our main priority at Cleveland stables is our horses and their welfare/wellbeing. This is the utmost important factor in having happy and healthy teammates in our opinion.
We offer services such as arena hire, lessons, clinics, events, schooling, sale on behalf, and livery. You are able to book our arena via this website. We are hoping to be getting coaches down and holding clinics in the future as well.
I (Millie Purdom) keep my team of performance horses on site at Cleveland Stables. I also offer lessons, sale of behalf and schooling of horses based at Cleveland Stables. I have been riding since I was 6 years old and have competed up to 1.30m tracks so far in my riding career. I have a team of 4 horses at the moment ranging from high level showjumpers to OTTB youngsters learning the ropes. I have experience with young, inexperienced and problem horses and ponies. I am experienced in high level showjumping, flatwork training, and have also done eventing and dealt with eventing horses in the past. Our property at Cleveland Stables offers all the facilities needed to carry out professional lessons, sale of behalf and schooling of horses.
